Obituary
Mrs. Minnie Fay Hayes Gibson, 61, of 255 Pecan Dr, Hartwell, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospice House, Athens.
Born November 11, 1947 in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Lewis Hayes and Offie Mae York Hayes. She was a housekeeper and a member of Prices Chapel Church of God.
She is survived by: husband, Frank Gibson of the home, son, Roger Dale Hayes, daughter, Donna Crone, Clayton, Ga., and Lisa Sayer, Hartwell, Ga., brothers, Ernest Hayes and Kenneth Hayes of Hartwell, Ga., sisters, Jean Cleveland, Alice Black, Maudine Holmes and Mary Sue Verner all of Hartwell, Ga., five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Coy and Roy Hayes, grandson, Marcus Lee Hayes and great-grandson, Avrill Crone.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Prices Chapel Church of God. Rev. Johnny Stowe and Rev. Jeff Houston will officiate. Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will be at the home.
