Mrs. Dora "Faye" McInvale McGaha, 69, of 365 Cedar Lane, Hartwell, GA, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC.
Born October 17, 1939 in Thomaston, GA, she was the daughter of the late Norman McInvale and Ethel McInvale. She was a homemaker; a former Stewardess for Delta Airlines and one of the first to qualify for Jet Aircraft.She was a member of Hartwell First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by:Husband, James H. "Jim" McGaha of Hartwell, GA; Son, Dr. Phillip McGaha of Charleston, SC; Daughter, Maria McGaha of Smyrna, GA; Brother, Kenny McInvale of Thomaston, GA and four Grandchildren, Ellen McGaha, James McGaha, Anna McGaha and Ethan McGaha.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Hartwell First United Methodist Church.Dr. R. Allen Stewart will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Thursday night from 6 – 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home.The family requests no flowers; Memorials may be made to Hartwell First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Howell Street, Hartwell, GA30643.
