Mrs. Floy Brown Wilson, 86, of 74 Williams Street, Hartwell, GA, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center.
Born March 12, 1923 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Jack Brown and Ella Rowland Brown.She was retired from Bellcraft Mfg.She was a member of Reed Creek Baptist Church and attended Freedom Baptist Church.
She is survived by longtime Companion, Columbus Baker of Hartwell, GA; Brother, James Brown of Bowersville, GA; Sister, Ruth Teasley of Hartwell, GA and several nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by Parents; Husband, Woodrow H. Wilson; Brothers, Joe, George, Wade, Ralph and Jack Brown.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Carl McGaha will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Sunday from 1 – 3:00 p.m. before the service.The family is at their respective homes.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be sent to Odyssey Healthcare, 855 Gaines School Road, Suite G, Athens, GA30605.
