Mrs. Frances Padgett Beeson, 88, of Browns Lane, Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born on January 1, 1928 in Mexia, TX, she was the daughter of the late W.H. Padgett, Sr and Frona Belle Coker Padgett.Mrs. Beeson received a BA Education Art Major from Columbus College and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell. She also was a member of the Willing Workers SS Class, FCS and the Solo's.She enjoyed the church library and playing bridge with her group of friends.

Survivors include two sons: Dr. Tommy Beeson and his wife Gloria of Hartwell and LTC Terry Beeson, US Army Ret. and his wife Shirley of Peachtree City, GA; one sister: Johnnie Bennett of Coahoma, TX; five grandchildren: Keri Birgl, Tommy Beeson, Jr., Michael Beeson, Joseph Beeson and Matthew Beeson; six great-grandchildren: Alexis Tucker, Aleisha Tucker, Aliza Jo Beeson, Adam Birgl, Nathan Birgl and Joshua Birgl also survive.Mrs. Beeson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: CWO Donald R. Beeson, US Army Ret.; four brothers: Herman Padgett, W.H. Padgett, Jr., J. Sherman Padgett, SSgt. Leo Charles Padgett and two sisters: Ailene Lee and Ruth Wayland.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 20, 2016, 4:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Dr. Steve Albanese officiating.Burial will be in the Fort Benning Base Cemetery in Columbus, GA.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.The family is at the home.Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hartwell Library Fund, 81 E. Howell Street, Hartwell, GA 30643.
