Obituary

Frances Lorene Turpin Bratcher, age 85, of Lavonia, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at her home.

Born July 24, 1936, in Stephens County, she was the daughter of the late Monroe and Willie Pitts Turpin. She worked in the textile industry, as a seamstress, until her retirement from the Hartwell Company. She was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church in Hartwell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Bobby Gene Bratcher; sister: Dorothy Parker; and brothers: Marvin Turpin and Floyd Turpin.

She is survived by her daughters: Sandra Tate (Leonard Rucker) and Christy Harbin (Andy); sisters: Hazel Singleton and Jean Sapp; grandchildren: Keith McLane (Jamie), Allison Robinson (Brandon), Mikal McLane (Sonya Sherman), Ryan Harbin (Faith), Nikole Harbin, Luke Harbin, and Paul Harbin; great-grandchildren: Kaden and Kage McLane, Carter and Carson Robinson, Savannah, Tripp, and Larry McLane, Presley Harbin, and Raegan Harbin.

The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Nancy Hart Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Westbrook and Mr. Andy Harbin officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Luke Harbin, Paul Harbin, Ryan Harbin, Tim Jones, Keith McLane, and Leonard Rucker.
