Mrs. Frances Powell Bratcher, 72, of 236 Linton Ave., Lavonia, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at her home.
Born on August 23, 1935 in Pendleton, SC, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Viola Aldrich Powell. She was a member of the Freedom Worship Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons: Francis Blain Huston of Hartwell and Donald Ray Huston of Lavonia; two daughters: Linda Whitworth of Lavonia and Wanda Justice of Wildersville, TN; four brothers: Billy Powell, Gus Powell, and Tommy Holly all of Lavonia and James Powell of CA; a sister: Sally Holly of Elberton; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband: Francis Huston.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lavonia Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Pastor Judy Carruth and Rev. Tyrone Hutchinson officiating.Burial will follow in the Lavonia City Cemetery.
The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening.The family is at the home.
