Frances Garner Burdette

Mrs. Frances Garner Burdette, age 95, of Elberton, formerly of Canon, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Spring Valley, Pruitt Health in Elberton.

Born on March 16, 1931, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Ezra and Liddie Peeples Garner. Before retirement she worked as a seamstress for Stone Manufacturing.

Mrs. Burdette enjoyed working in her flower garden, and especially loved time spent with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband: Hubert Allen Burdette; son: Hubert Allen Burdette, Jr.; daughter: Brenda Joyce Burdette Hayes; grandson: Michael Shane Segars; great granddaughter: Naomi Elaine Segars.

She is survived by children: Terrell Burdette (Nellere), Jim Presley Burdette (Wanda), and Martha Elaine Segars (Danny); she is loved by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
