Mrs. Frances Jones Fleming, 91, formerly of Mount Olivet Road, Hartwell, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 1, 2016.She died peacefully in her sleep at The Blake at Township in Ridgeland, Mississippi.
Born December 3, 1924, in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Hugh G. Jones and Bessie Phillips Jones.She was retired from Gips Manufacturing Company in Hartwell, GA where she worked as a seamstress and quality control inspector.She was an active member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, sewing and doll collecting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Judson L. Fleming; daughter, Glenda F. Mayhue; her parents; and sister, Pauline J. Nation.She is survived by her two grandsons, Rob (Amy) Mayhue of Madison, MS; and Greg (Kay Lynn) Mayhue of Roswell, GA; six great-grandchildren, Trip, Madison, Truitt, Bowen, Keaton, and Campbell Mayhue; beloved cousin, Rodney Reeves of Winter Garden, FL; former son-in-law, Monk Mayhue of Loganville, GA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins..
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Eaves and Mr. Leslie Boles officiating.Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Church Sanctuary.
