Mrs. Frances Gendron Lash, 77, of 1595 Bowersville Street, Royston, widow of the late Rev. Kenneth E. Lash, Sr., died Monday, May 7, 2012, at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born on November 21, 1934 in Vandallia, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Albert Gendron and Dorothy Richmond Gendron.She was a homemaker, minister's wife, loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include three sons: Kenneth Lash, Jr. and his wife Chun, of Hartwell, Tim Paul Lash and his wife Hope, of Royston, John W. Lash of Royston; two daughters: Cynthia J. Lash of Atlanta, Catherine S. Cash and her husband Jessie of Hartwell; one brother, Thomas Gendron of Gobles, Michigan; three sisters: Ruby Gendron of Allegan, Michigan, Alice Gendron of Allegan, Michigan, and Maryann Gavrun and her husband John, of Hopkins, Michigan; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Lash was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Herbert F. Spencer, Mr. Josh Cash and Mrs. Kaveri Hornick officiating.Burial will follow in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday.The family is at the home of Mrs. Catherine Cash, 194 Water Oak Dell Drive, Lavonia, GA30553.
