Mrs. Frances Frye McLane, age 83, of 264 Payne Road, widow of Broadus A. McLane, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at her home.

Born October 16, 1926, in Hart County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Claude Frye and Zoe Seawright Frye. She retired from Mt. Olivet Elementary, where she served as secretary and Para Professional. She was of the Christian faith.

She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law: David & Dale McLane of Commerce; daughters & sons-in-law: Christy & Leonard Green and Rebecca & Wayne Cleveland all of Hartwell; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Hartwell Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Gary McCurley officiating. Entombment will follow at Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m. At other hours, the family will be at the home of Leonard & Christy Green, 247 Payne Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
