Mrs. Mary Frances Strickland Fleming, age 94, of 8077 Bowman Hwy, Dewy Rose, GA died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Hartwell Health Care Center.
Born April 24, 1915 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Sam Strickland and Leila Robinson Strickland.She was retired from Hartwell Garment Mfg as a seamstress.She was an active member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by:Son, Jerry Fleming and his wife Pat of Dewy Rose, GA; Daughter, Marlene Whitmire of Bowman, GA; Six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren also survive.She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, John Wabus Fleming and a Sister, Polly Colvard.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Holly Springs Baptist Church.Rev. Mike Westbrook and Rev. Dalton Carrington will officiate.Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 – 9:00 p.m.The family is at the home of Jerry and Pat Fleming, 502 Liberty Church Road, Dewy Rose, GA.
