Mrs. Frances D. Skelton, 83, of 109 Fourth Street, Hartwell, GA, died Friday, February 15, 2008 at her daughter's home.
Born September 28, 1924 in Elbert County, she was the daughter of the late John Driver and Leila Sanders Driver.Mrs. Skelton was a homemaker and a member of Flat Shoals Baptist Church.
She is survived by: daughter, Barbara Berrong of Hartwell; son, Robert Skelton of Hartwell; Brothers, Charles Driver, and Morris Driver; sister, Mary Thomason; three grandsons and 3 great grandsons.She is preceded in death by: husband, Snow Skelton; brothers, John Driver, Edward Driver; step-brother, Dave Sanders; sisters: Naomi Shiflet and Lettie Mae Saylors.
Services will be held on Monday, February18, 2008 at 11:00 am at Flat Shoals Baptist Church, Rev. Wendall Bannister and Rev. Mike Fugate will officiate.Burial will follow in the Flat Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.The body will lie in state from 10:30 until the service time.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 pm Sunday evening.The family is at the home of Barbara Berrong, 109 Fourth Street, Hartwell, GA.
