Mrs. Frances Banister Weaver, 91 of Seed Cleaner Road, Hartwell, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson SC.

Born on June 14, 1922 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Dock W. Banister Sr. and Mollie Crump Banister.She was retired from Monroe Auto Equipment Company, where she was a machine operator for 21 years.Mrs. Banister was formerly employed at Bellcraft Mfg., Hartwell Garment and in Baltimore MD during WW II at the Glenn & Martin Aircraft Company.She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church more than fifty years, where she active in the Joy Club, Sunbeams, WMU, GA's, helped with Bible School, served of the Floral committee and was a member of the Adult Ladies SS Class.

She is survived by her two daughters, Patsy W. McGee of Anderson and Peggy W. Lawrence & her husband Jimmy of Hartwell; two grandchildren, John F. McGee & his wife Kalyna and Amanda M. Simpson & her husband Derk; four great grandchildren, Jake & Eli McGee and Brylee & Carter Simpson; two brothers, Dock W. Banister Jr. & Grady A. Banister both of Hartwell also survive.Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank F. Weaver; two sisters, Louise Banister & Mamie Ruth Banister and four brothers, Harold Banister, Theron Banister, Garrett Banister & Chaffer Banister.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Luther Thomason and Rev. Richard Bielski officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning.

The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family is at the home of Peggy & Jimmy Lawrence, 70 Rhodella Road, Hartwell.
