Mr. Charles Franklin "Frank" Ramsey, age 89 of 162 Stillwood Dr, Hartwell, Ga., died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at his home.

Born February 3, 1920 in Glen City, MO he was the son of the late Charles Ramsey and Bertie Allen Ramsey. He was retired from Perdue University – Calumet as maintenance supervisor. Mr. Ramsey was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church, The Young at Heart, and he was a Mason.

He is survived by: wife, Betty Harris Thompson Ramsey of the home, son, Charles Randall "Randy" Ramsey and his wife Nan of Aurora, CO, daughters, Sandy Jacobs, of Hartwell, Ga., Carol Ramsey of Hartwell, Ga.,Kathy Stelter and her husband Mel of Dyer, IN and Linda Robinson and her husband Butch of Hartwell, Ga., step-brother, George Ramsey. Twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Helen Louise Ramsey.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Abundant Life Baptist Church. Rev. Ken Brewer will officiate. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, IN. Memorials may be made to Abundant Life Baptist Church, P.O. Box 237, Hartwell, Ga. 30643
