Obituary
Mr. Frank Leon Woodard Jr, 79, of Bethany-Bowersville Road, Canon, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Pruitt Health of Toccoa.
Born on September 21, 1940 in Banner Elk, NC, he was the son of the late Frank Leon Woodard Sr and Nettie Kitchens Woodward.Mr. Woodard was a retired service adviser for Kelly Buick and a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Cumming, GA.Mr. Woodard was also a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Woodard was survived by his wife: Edna Diane Stroup; one son: Sonny Woodard; five daughters: Laina Woodard, Tara, Tammie Brown, Angela Kent, Meredith O'Neill; eight grandchildren: Daniel Fox, Chad Brown, Justin Brown, Misty Dull, Ashley Warren, Adrianna Hernandez, Austin O'Neill and Gabriella O'Neill. Mr. Woodard was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife: Joan Carol Phillips Woodard.
Frank wished to be cremated and a memorial service Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the Pleasant View Baptist Church, Cumming GA.
The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
