Mr. Fred Terrell Cawthon, age 59, of Bowersville, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospice House.
Born April 28, 1951, in Royston, he was the son of the late Jimmy Thomas and Imojean Gray Cawthon. Mr. Cawthon was a self employed construction worker and was a US Army veteran having served in Germany. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Amanda & Adam Veal of Royston and Sonya & Jermaine Hardmon of Hartwell; son: Jimmy Cawthon of Hartwell; sisters and brothers-in-law: Debbie & Randy Clark of Calhoun and Betty & Tommy McGee of Lavonia; brother: James Cawthon of Hartwell; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 24, 2010 at the Old Pathway Baptist Church with Revs. Lee Pointer, Robbie Hill, and Gettis Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowersville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. At other times the family will be at the home of Amanda & Adam Veal or Betty & Tommy McGee.
