Fred Corn

Mr. Richard Fred Corn, 54, of Dewy Rose, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026 at his home.

Born on January 10, 1971 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Richard Floyd Corn and Charlotte Goldsmith Corn. Fred loved Hunting, Fishing and Racing. He also was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Shelia Broome Corn; a son: Richard Charles Corn of Dewy Rose; two daughters: Dallas Diane Corn of Hartwell and Adrianna Yvonne Corn of Dewy Rose; three sisters: Diane Carroll, Jo Rita Thompson and Mary Jane Rowland all of Hartwell; a grandson: Jackson Rivers Holmes and three step-grandchildren: Ashley Marie Holmes, Zachary Ray Holmes and Isiah Paul Holmes. Mr. Corn was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild: Eyen Drake Holmes.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church. Other times the family will be at the home of his sister: Diane Carroll, 957 St. John’s CME Church Road, Hartwell.

Funeral services for Mr. Fred Corn will be Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Starrett and Rev. Aaron Rowland officiating. Burial will be in the Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to defray Funeral and Medical Expenses.

The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is assisting the family with all of the arrangements.
