Mr. Fred Nalley, age 80, of Augusta, formerly of Toccoa died Thursday, January 2, 2014 at his home.
Born May 24, 1933 in Toccoa, he was the son of the late Walker and Della (Norton) Nalley. He worked at the Medical College of GA. Mr. Nalley was a veteran of the US Air Force and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Teresa Nalley Bohannon.
He is survived by his children: Lynn Nalley Waller, Tim Nalley, Jeff Nalley, Tony Nalley (Collette) and Greg Nalley (Brande); grandchildren: Ricki Shedd, Steven Moore, Jamie Nalley, Adrienne Kirtland, Oliver Kirtland, Dustin Nalley, Anthony Nalley, Christopher Nalley, Dana Nalley, Daniel Nalley, Anna Nalley, Mariah Burnette and Dylan Nalley; 3 great grandsons, 2 great granddaughters and the mother of their children: Claudene Nalley.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bowers Memorial Park with military honors. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Ricki Shedd, Steven Moore, Christopher Nalley, Dustin Nalley, Daniel Nalley and Dylan Nalley.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at their respective homes.
