Obituary
Freeman Hines Sanders of Lavonia passed away on Tuesday, April 15th at the age of 77, after a long illness.
A Bowersville native, the son of Ray Sanders and Era Hemrick Sanders, Mr. Sanders attended Hart County schools, and earned a B.S. degree in Biology from North Georgia College. After a long career in the hospital supply business, he retired to Lavonia, where he was active in the Bowersville Baptist Church.
Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by his sisters Ann Stancil, Dorothy Wood, and Mary Ray Benton.
He leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Mary Sue Stillwell Sanders, his children Richard and Nancy, and grandchildren Jane, William, Mary Ellen, and Aaron.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19th, at Bowersville Baptist Church, at 1:00 PM, with Reverend Connie Ivester officiating. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Bowersville Baptist Church.
