Mr. George Clinton Adams, 92, of 195 North Forest Ave, Hartwell, died Sunday, April 04, 2010 at Hart Care Center.
Born October 25, 1917 in Hart County, GA, he was the son of the late Rufus S. Adams and Lula Grizzle Adams.He was retired as Owner/operator of Adams Shoe Shop.
He is survived by:Sister, Deane A. Vickery of Hartwell, GA; Brother, Pringle Adams of Marietta, GA, Three grandchildren and several great grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his Parents; Daughter, Diane A. Jones; Brothers, Monford Adams, Joel Adams and Lowell Adams; Sister, Melba A. Senkbeil.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. Carl McGaha and Rev. Doug Brown will officiate.Burial will be in the Flat Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.The family is at their respective homes.
