Mr. George Truitte Brown, age 76 of 170 Azalea Drive, Hartwell, Ga., Husband of Margaret Williams Brown, died Saturday, March 4, 2007 at Emory University Hospital.

Born on July 16, 1930 in Hart County, Georgia, he was the son of the late N.P. Brown and Annie Belle Bannister Brown.Mr. Brown retired from Bellcraft Mfg. Co., where he served as Personnel Manager and was also a retired manager of Hartwell Golf Club.He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, former Deacon and Treasurer.He served on the Kitchen Committee and was a member and president of the Men's Sunday School Class.He was also a member of the Hartwell Golf Club, Nancy Hart Masonic Lodge #690 and Class of 47' Breakfast Club.He was a former member of the Hart County Jaycees, former Little League coach, and a former Rotarian.

He is survived by his wife of the home; daughters: Peggy Kesler and husband Wayne of Hartwell and Ann Neese and husband Howard of Loganville; brother: Charles Albert Brown of Canon; and sisters: Elizabeth Prather of Columbus GA. and Connie Bowen of Rome GA; Five grandchildren: Matthew Neese, Angie Keener, Jeannie Cordaro, Nikki Hancock, and Krissi Kesler; Six great-grandchildren: Madison and Nolan Keener, Brady and Sophie Cordaro and Dallas and Olivia Hancock also survive.

Funeral services will be held of Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethany Baptist Church.Rev. Jerry Durham and Rev. Richard Bielski will officiate.Burial will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.The family is at the home
