Obituary
Mr. Gibson Cline Wilhite, age 90 of 1104 North Forest Ave, Hartwell, Ga., died October 02, 2007 at Hartwell Health Care Center.
Born on May 26, 1917 in Elbert Co. GA, he was the son of the late Alton Cline Wilhite and Mildred Anderson Wilhite.He was a retired Painter, a Mason and a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.Mr. Wilhite was a WW II US Army veteran, serving in the European theater, 2nd Armored Division.
Survivors include his wife: Georgia Cleveland Wilhite of the home; two sons: Billy Cline Wilhite and George G. Wilhite both of Loganville GA; a brother: Ralph Wilhite of Greenville SC; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Hershel Wilhite and Lloyd Wilhite.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 4 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Dr. Donald Little officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night.The family is at the home.
