Mrs. Gail Perry Herring, 76, of Milford Road, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her home.

Born on June 24, 1940 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late George Jefferson Perry and Guynell White Perry.Mrs. Herring was a former seamstress at Bellcraft Mfg., clerk at Milford's Grocery and a substitute teacher in the Hart County School System.She was also a member of the Milltown Baptist Church.

Survivors include her two sons: Frankie Herring and Betsy of Martinez GA and Freddie Herring and Karen of Hawkinsville GA; her daughter: Michelle Thompson and Ronnie of Hartwell; a sister: Sandra Turner of Hartwell; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Herring was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Frank Herring and her brother: "Bill" Perry.

A memorial service celebrating Gail's life will held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Milltown Baptist Church.The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon and Mrs. Herring wished to be cremated after her memorial service.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Milltown Baptist Church, c/o Brenda Chitwood, 151 Fleming Circle, Hartwell, GA 30643.
