Mrs. Gail Ayers Milford White, 79, of Hartwell, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025 at her home.

Born on June 21, 1946, in Royston, GA, she was the daughter of Billie Faye Hilley Ayers and the late Curtis W. "Curt" Ayers.  Mrs. White received her Associate's Degree from Marsh Business College, and she worked in Accounts Receivable at Hart EMC. Gail was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church, where she taught 2 & 3 year old children's Sunday School class for over 40 years, was a past director of the WMU, past church treasurer, choir member, Missionary House director and was a part of various other committees. She was also a former member of the Pilot Club of Hartwell and Pine Tree Garden Club.

Survivors include her husband: Col Charles G. "Snip" White Jr. of Hartwell; two daughters: Claire Arnold (Jeff) of Villa Rica, GA, and Amy McNab (Bob) of Chesapeake, VA; one step-son: D. Parks White of Comer, GA; one step-daughter: Paige L. White (Dan Donohue) of La Crescenta, CA;  one brother: Terry Ayers of San Antonio, TX; and four grandchildren: Billy McNab, Jasper "JC" McNab, Andy McNab and Abigail Arnold.

Mrs. White was preceded in death by her father; and her first husband, Billy Milford.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 12, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.  Other times the family is at the home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gail Milford White will be Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Morris and Rev. John Silver officiating.  Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Matt Elmore officiating.

Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the Sardis Baptist Church, 4359 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell GA 30643.
