Mr. Garnett Eberhardt Fleming, 87, of 4532 Mt. Olivet Road, Lavonia, GA, died Monday, January 22, 2007 at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson, SC.
Born September 5, 1919 in Hart County, GA, he was the son of the late Walter E. Fleming and Lillie Bailey Fleming.He was a Farmer and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by:Sons, Jack Fleming of Lavonia, GA, and Glenn Fleming and his wife Julianne of Lavonia; Two grandchildren, Candee McCurry and Walter G. Fleming; and One great grandchild, Preston McCurry.He is preceded in death by his Parents; Wife, Montez Maret Fleming; and Two sisters, Fannie Banister and Susie Bowers.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Rev. C. Roy Smith and Rev. J.W. Stowe will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 10 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.The family will be at the home of Glenn and Julianne Fleming, 4649 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, GA.Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC29621.
