Mr. Gary Richard Dumesnil, 66, of Atlanta and formerly Hartwell, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, at his home.

Born, November 11, 1955, in Anderson SC, he was the son of the late Oliver Alvin Dumesnil and Hilda Rhodes Dumesnil. Mr. Dumesnil was a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he received a degree in Architecture and Construction Management.He was most recently a Construction Project Manager with Kipp Metro Atlanta Schools. Prior to his time with Kipp, Gary was the Senior Manager Construction for GFG Management, LLC (Global Franchise Group). Gary was also a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one sister: Elizabeth D. Winchester of Washington, Georgia; one nephew: Jeremy Fare; three nieces: Stephanie B. Tarrer, Jessica F. Eubank, Bretta D. Provost, and ten great nieces and nephews. Mr. Dumesnil is preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Judith D. Dunn; and his brother: Randolph A. Dumesnil.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.

Funeral services for Mr. Dumesnil will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland funeral Home of Hartwell with Dr. Hugh Kirby officiating.Interment will be in the Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Macedonia United Methodist Church, 1925 Airline-Goldmine Road, Canon, GA 30520.
