Mrs. Gayleeen Lavoy (Chitwood) Adkins, age 64, of Lavonia, died Friday, August 23, 2013 at her home.
Born December 5, 1948, in Quantico, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Richard V. and Marion (Bimel) Chitwood. Mrs. Adkins was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband: Bill Adkins; son: Bill Adkins Jr.; daughter: Geneva Smith; grandchildren: Caramie Williams, Brenton Williams, Heather Smith, Laiken Smith, Brandon Smith, and Brooklyn Gibson; siblings: Terri Bradley and Shelly Stone.
Mrs. Adkins request was to be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
