Everett Eugene Carter, age 81, of Lavonia, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 at his home.
Born August 10, 1937, in Athens, he was the son of the late Silas and Katie Mae (Stewart) Carter. He was a veteran of the US Army Reserves. He retired from Snap-On Tools as their human resources manager. Mr. Carter was a member of the Lavonia First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Linda (Harris) Carter; sons & daughters-in-law: Brian & Diana Carter and Tony & Jennifer Carter; daughter & son-in-law: Tracie & Bobby Greene; grandchildren: Katie Greene and Nathan Greene; sister & brother-in-law: Gail & Larry Dendy; and brother & sister-in-law: Harry & Michele Carter. Mr. Carter is also survived by his faithful companion, Wilson.
In accordance with his request, Mr. Carter will be cremated and no services will be planned. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Food 4 Kids, Lavonia United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 176, Lavonia, GA 30553.
