Obituary
Mr. John Eugene "Gene" Lewis, age 75 of Myrtle Beach, S.C., formerly of Hartwell, Ga., died April 18, 2009 at V.A. Medical Center in Charleston, S.C.
Born December 30, 1933 in Hart County he was the son of the late John Neese Lewis and Vera Crump Lewis. He was retired as a buyer for an electrical company and formerly employed with Hart EMC. He was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Lewis was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by: his partner of 4o years, Larry Bagus of Myrtle Beach, S.C., brother, George Lewis of Easley, S.C. and step-mother, Lois Herring Lewis of Easley, S.C.
Cryptside services will be held Sunday, April 26 at 3:00 p.m. at the Memorial Garden of Prayer with Rev. Leroy Stewart officiating.
