Mr. Thomas Gene Seymour, 71, of Hart Terrace, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 at his home.

Born on October 15, 1944 in Dewy Rose GA, he was the son of the late Ollie Seymour and Gladys Mae Brown Seymour.Mr. Seymour was a self-employed painter and attended the Hartwell Church of God.

Survivors include his daughter: Leigh Anne S. Craft & David; two sons: Shane Seymour & Amy and David Seymour & Tracy all of Hartwell; eleven grandchildren: Luke Seymour & Missy, Shaina Seymour & Chase, Nicole Seymour & Tyler, Brock Seymour, Reece Seymour, Seth Seymour, Hunter Seymour, Hank Seymour, Bradley Craft, Caitlin Craft, Ryleigh Craft; a great grandchild: Alexa Seymour; two sisters: Mary Welborn & Donnie of Hartwell and Ann Perry & Bill of Girard GA; two sister-in-law's: Peggy Seymour and Margie Seymour both of Hartwell and a special friend: Janet Bailey of Hartwell.Mr. Seymour was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Danny Seymour and Stewart Seymour.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Lonnie Bennett officiating.Mr. Seymour wished to be cremated after his service.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday evening.The family is at the home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartwell Church of God Building Fund, 369 Cade Street, Hartwell GA 30643.
