Mrs. Mary Genelle Foster Stewart, 88, of Hartwell, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.

Born on September 11, 1936 in Canon GA, she was the daughter of the late John Lester Foster and Hazel Shiflet Foster.  Mrs. Stewart was a former sales clerk at Belk's of Hartwell and a retired from AnMed Medical Center Blood Bank. She was also a member of the Flat Shoals Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons: Tony Stewart (Kim) and Terry Stewart all of Hartwell; four grandchildren: Blake Stewart (Courtney), Sam Stewart, Nikki Stewart (Lucas) and Robbie Coleman; and two great-grandchild: Jaden Coleman and Ariel Zumaeta also survive.  Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Ned L. Stewart and a brother: Gary L. Foster.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Flat Shoals Baptist Church. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Genelle Stewart will be Friday, April 4, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Flat Shoals Baptist Church with Rev. Cory Pulliam officiating.  Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hart County Animal Rescue, PO Box 45, Hartwell GA 30643.
