Mrs. Geneva (Walters) Farmer Crisp, age 90, of Old Reed Creek Road, Hartwell, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.
Born May 27, 1927, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Addie (Chastain) Walters. She retired from the Hartwell Company as a machine operator. Mrs. Crisp was a member of Providence United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Charles "Tennis" Farmer and George Crisp; brothers: Junior Walters, Chapman Walters, and Melvin Walters; and sisters: Eulala Royston, Claralee Brown, Nobie Brown, Wilete Brown.
She is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law: Kenneth & Peggy Farmer of Hartwell and Dale & Daphne Farmer of Canon; daughter & son-in-law: Lavonda & Jerry Byrum of Hartwell; grandchildren: Candy Oglesby, Michelle Nix, Kayla-Dale Moore, Kaylie Farmer-Smith, Nicole Farmer, and Justin Farmer; and great-grandchildren: Tyler Ballard, Chyenne Nix, Hunter Nix, Madison Nix, Mackenzie Oglesby, Brady Dale Moore, and Bryson James Smith.
The funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Providence United Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce Moore and Rev. Dick Huycke officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home of Dale & Daphne Farmer, 6441 New Franklin Church Road, Canon, GA 30520.
