Mrs. Geneva Harrison Kotal, 86, of Kotal Road, Canon, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson, SC.

Born on March 21, 1932 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late William A. Harrison and Necota Shiflet Harrison. Mrs. Kotal was a homemaker and a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons: Larry Kotal (Rhonda), Dennis Kotal (Denise) all of Canon; two brothers: Marlon Harrison and Harold Harrison, both of Anderson, SC; three sisters: Janette Brooks, Norma Jean Beebe, and Ann Blair, all of Anderson, SC; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Mrs. Kotal was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Charles Rudolph Kotal; one son: Richard Kotal; one daughter: Teresa Lynn Kotal; three brothers: Norman, Lloyd, and Arnold Harrison; and one sister: Joanne Fortner.

Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will have a Rosary prayer service at 5:30 p.m. and visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening. The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 1009 Benson Street, Hartwell, GA 30643.
