Mrs. Mary Geneva Sinks Smith, age 72, of 647 Ridge Road, Hartwell, GA, died Monday, July 16, 2007 at the Hospice House, Anderson, SC.
Born February 17, 1935 in Nashville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Sinks and Cora Reed Sinks.She was retired from Ingles as a Cashier and from the Hartwell Company.
She was a member of Hartwell Church of God.
Her survivors include:Husband, Calvin V. Smith of the home; Stepsons, Calvin J. Smith of Dade City, FL and Howard Smith and his wife, Angie of Webster, FL; Three stepdaughters, Mary Maddox and her husband Eddie of Webster, FL, Connie Cobb of Bushnell, FL, and Rachel Turner and her husband Steve of Hartwell, GA; Six grandchildren and Six great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Hartwell Church of God. Rev. Lonnie Bennett and M.C. Radford will officiate.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. prior to the service.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 to 8:00 p.m.Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC29621.
