Mr. George Lee Baker, 86, of 2191 Anderson Hwy, Hartwell, died Saturday, November 17 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson SC.

Born on March 4, 1926 in Franklin County GA, he was the son of the Pete Allison Baker and Susie Fleming Baker.He retired from Hartwell Mills as a machine operator and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Grace Moon Baker of the home; a daughter, Ann Baker of Hartwell; four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a great great-grandchild also survives.Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tony Lee Baker; a great-grandchild and was the last surviving of his brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Entombment will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
