Mr. George Herman Campbell, 70, of Park Ave, Baldwin, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Habersham Medical Center, Demorest.

Born on August 20, 1943 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Sida Dee Campbell Sr. and Rebecca E. Sudberry Campbell.He was retired from Truett McConnell College and of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include four brothers: James M. Campbell & his wife Ann of Royston, Billy Ray Campbell & his wife Gloria of Dewy Rose, Tommy Lee Campbell of Hartwell and Frank D. Campbell of Clarksville; three sisters: Maybell C. Vickery & her husband Rudolph of Bowersville, Brenda C. Carey and Shirley C. Freeman both of Canon; several nieces and nephews also survive.Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William Campbell and Sida D. Campbell Jr. and two sisters, Betty Jo C. Lee and Dot C. Corn.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Mike Fugate and Ms. Denise Eller officiating.Burial will be in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night.The family is at their respective homes.
