Mr. George Dale Freeman, 56, of 437 Old Canon Church Road, Bowersville, died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center.

Born on September 6, 1956 in Dixon, TN, he was the son of the late George Arthur Freeman and Evelyn Dockery Brown.Mr. Freeman was of the Holiness Faith.

Survivors include his wife: Shirley Campbell Freeman of the home; two sons: Keith Carey and his wife Angela of Canon, and Brad Carey and his wife Stephanie of Bowersville; two step brothers; three sisters; and seven grandchildren: Amber Carey, Kaitlin Carey, Denver Carey, Cassie Carey, Austin Carey, Cody Carey, and Raven Carey.Mr. Freeman was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Freeman's wishes were to be cremated.Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Mike Fugate officiating.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to defray medical expenses.
