Mr. George W. White, 82, of 149 West Franklin Place, Hartwell, died Friday, January 27, 2012 at Hartwell Health Care Center.
Born on May 23, 1929 in Hartwell GA, he was the son of the late Columbus White and Cora Bailey White.He was a retired utility worker from Hartwell - Dundee Mills and was a member of Hartwell Church of God and also attended River of Life Church.
Survivors include one son, Terry R. White and his wife Janet of Hartwell; one brother: Jim White of Canon; and three sisters: Emma Simpson and Dot Fowler of Hartwell, Ruby McCoy of Anderson, SC; and one grandchild: Brandon White also survives.Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vinell Byrum White; one daughter: Janice W. Mize; three brothers: Gary White, Curtis White and twin brother Joe White; and one sister: Margie Richardson.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the River of Life Church with Rev. Ken Buffington and Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating.Burial will follow in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
