Obituary
Gerald Parke Cleveland, age 83, passed away on Sunday evening, January 24, 2016.
Mr. Cleveland was born August 15, 1932 in Hartwell and was the son of the late Cleo and Mary Vickery Cleveland.He was a veteran of the US Army and a graduate of the University of Georgia. Mr.Cleveland was a businessman in this area and owned and managed Cleveland Ford Company in downtown Hartwell for decades.
Mr. Cleveland is survived by his wife, Gail W. Cleveland, and by two sisters, Catherine Harrison of Hartwell and Gaye Booth of Elberton. He is also survived by a niece and three nephews.
Graveside services for family and friends will be Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with the Dr. Steve Albanese officiating.Mr. Cleveland will be laid to rest with the ashes of his Yorkies, Millie and Sadie, who died in the past two years. The family is at the home.In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Hart County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1062, Hartwell, GA 30643 or Hart County Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 45, Hartwell, GA 30643.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
