Mr. Gerald Lee "Jerry" Kapalko, 74, of Freedom Heights Dr., Hartwell, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at his home.

Born on September 10, 1940 in Alliance, OH, he was the son of the late Emil Kapalko and Olga Gretchko Kapalko.Mr. Kapalko retired from Besam Corp as a salesman and he was a member of the Abundant Life Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Mary Ann Upthegrove Kapalko; a son: Randy Kapalko and Amy of Cumming; four daughters: Nikki Naea and Misi of Dacula, Jeannie McCurdy and David of Statesboro, Linda Kapalko of Hartwell Angel Walker and Jeff of Athens; one brother: Dennis Kapalko of Canton, OH and twelve grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Brewer officiating.Burial will be on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Corinth Christian Church in Loganville, GA.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service. The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to the Abundant Life Baptist Church, P.O. Box 237, Hartwell, GA 30643.
