Lecel Fitzgerald "Gerald" Pinkston, age 58, of Lavonia, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at his home.

Born August 6, 1965, in Royston, he was the son of Cynthia Elizabeth (Burtch) Pinkston and the late Lecel Pinkston. He worked several years for the Georgia State Department of Transportation and later worked as a concrete mix truck driver for Morgan Concrete. Mr. Pinkston was a member of Voice of Hope Seventh Day Adventist Church in Toccoa.

He is survived by his mother: Cynthia Elizabeth (Burtch) Pinkston; his wife: Cynthia Louise (Combs) Pinkston; children: Miranda Brooks, Darius Young, and Makaila Pinkston; grandchildren: Adrianna Brooks, Lawrianna Brooks, Samara Ware, Karley Young, and Londyn Norman; siblings: Erica Tompkins, Sheryl Pinkston, and Xavier Pinkston.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2024, at New Light Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening, April 20,  from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. At other times the family will be at the home.
