Obituary
Mrs. Geraldine G. Bailey, 85, of Hwy 81 North, Anderson, SC formerly of Hartwell, died Friday, October 3, 2014 at her home.
Born on February 24, 1929 in Hartwell, she was the daughter of the late Holden Gurley and Macie Teat Gurley.She was formerly the Probate Judge of Hart County with twenty years of service where she retired and a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church.
Survivors include her two daughters: Tina Beard and her husband Steve of Anderson, SC and Taska Bailey of Shawsville, VA.; three grandchildren: Blaise and Hunter Beard and Shane Schultz. She was preceded in death by her husband: John Alton Bailey and one brother: Joe Gurley.
Funeral Services will be Monday October 6, 2014 at 3:00 pm at the Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Coleman officiating. Burial will be in the Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the Veterans Administration Office, 730 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta, GA 30308.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Sunday night.The family is at their respective homes.
