Geraldine Segars Bridges, age 84, of Lavonia, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Braselton. Born on September 29, 1939, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late B. E. and Eulia Hamby Segars. Geraldine dedicated many years of service to Ty Cobb Memorial Hospital, where she worked diligently in linen and laundry services. She was a member of Price Chapel Church of God.

Geraldine is survived by a loving family, including her daughter, Derin Bridges, son-in-law, J. D. Black; and her cherished grandchildren, Bentley Williams and Nevaeh Bridges. She will also be remembered by her twin sister, Sheraldine Byrd, and her nieces, Pat Segars, Donna Bolton, and Vickie Herren. Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Ernest Bridges; her son, Jerry Kay; and her brother, Paul Segars, whose memories she held dear.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
