Mrs. Geraldine Baker Dye, 84, of 1655 Reed Creek School Rd., Hartwell, died Monday, February 26, 2007 at Hartwell Health Care Center.
Born on April 28, 1922 in Hart Co. GA, she was the daughter of the late Howard Baker and Avis Osborne Baker.She was a homemaker and a member of the Reed Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons: Marvin Dye of Elberton and Sherman Dye of Greenville SC; two sisters: Louise Broach of Warner Robbins GA and Vera Boleman of Hartwell; one brother: Louie Baker of Atlanta; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a great great-grandchild also survive.She was preceded in death by her husband: Morgan W. Dye; a son: Gerald Dye; a sister: Margie Payne; a brother: James Baker and a grandson: Dennis Dye.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 28 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Sam Dulaney officiating.Burial will be in the Reed Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday night.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
