Obituary
Mrs. Geraldine Thompson Irwin, 101, of 465 Carter's Ferry Road, Hartwell, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Hart County Hospital.
Born on January 20, 1910 in Detroit MI, she was the daughter of the late George Thompson and Angie Hodge Thompson.
Survivors include her son, Dr. W. Gordon Irwin and his wife Sonya of Hartwell; two grandchildren, Rebecca Stidham and Bradley Irwin; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Irwin, Chandler Irwin, Justin Irwin and Nicholas Irwin also survive.Mrs. Irwin was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Irwin and a grandson and his wife, Brett and Lynn Irwin.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date by the family.Memorials may be made to Hartwell Health Care Center Patient Activity Fund, c/o Marsha Beck, 94 Cade Street, Hartwell, GA30643
