Obituary
Mr. George Ward Pless, 66, of 229 Hamp Brown Rd, Elberton, died Sunday, October 24 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.
Born on February 22, 1944 in Elberton GA, he was the son of the late Joe Pless and Willie Ruth Young Pless.He was a US Army veteran and a member of the Elberton Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Black Pless; two daughters, Lynn Dove and her husband Kenneth and Lisa Almond and her husband Kenny all of Elberton; a son, Michael Pless of Elberton; three grandchildren, Megan Willis, Morgan Willis and Kassidy Almond; two sisters, Ruth Johnson of Elberton and Mary Crunkelton of Carnesville also survive.Mr. Pless was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Buford Pless, Boyd Pless and Verdell Pless.
Memorial services will be Thursday, October 28 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with cremation to follow the service.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon.The family is at the home.
