Obituary
Mrs. Lucy Gertrude "Gert" Culbertson Willis, age 85, of Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, GA, died Monday, January 11, 2010 at Hart County Hospital.
Born September 29, 1924 in Madison County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Talmadge Culbertson and Lula Frances Haggard Culbertson.She was retired from Hartwell Mills and was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
She is survived by: Daughters, Carolyn W. Sanders of Suwannee, GA, Linda W. Ginn of Hartwell, GA and Barbara Geraldine W. Shaw of Hartwell, GA; Four grandchildren, and Eleven great grandchildren also survive.She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, James Clifford Willis; Daughter, Brenda Sue Willis and grandchild, Trudi Ginn.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.Rev. Joe Black, Rev. Kevin Ginn and Rev. Doug Brown will officiate.Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 – 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home of Lisa Elliott, 1066 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, GA30643. Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 1925 Century Blvd., Suite 10, Atlanta, GA30345-3315.
