Mrs. Gertrude S. Kenmore, 87, of Arthur Street, Hartwell, died Monday June 22, 2015 at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens GA.

Born on February 5, 1928 in Hartwell, she was the daughter of the late Emory E. Satterfield, Jr. and Nobie Duncan Satterfield.Mrs. Kenmore was retired from Hartwell Sports as a department manager and was a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church. After her retirement she proudly volunteered at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church in many different areas.

Survivors include two sons: Richard Kenmore of Hartwell and David Kenmore and his wife Diane of Lilburn, GA; three grandchildren: Erik Kenmore and his wife Jocelyn, Michael Kenmore, Ryan Kenmore: two great-grandchildren: Zoe Kenmore and Mia Kenmore.Mrs. Kenmore was preceded in death by her husband: Don Kenmore.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

Memorial services will be Friday, July 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Dr. R. Allen Stewart officiating. A reception will be held after the service in the church fellowship hall.The family is at the home.Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the Hartwell First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 200 East Howell Street, Hartwell, GA 30643.
