Mrs. Gladys (Andrews) Marchman, age 91, of 94 Cade Street – Hartwell, died Sunday, February 24 at Hartwell Healthcare Center.
Born April 14, 1916, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Columbus William & Vira (Elrod) Andrews. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: G. T. Marchman; son: Jack Marchman; and nine brothers and sisters.
Survivors include son & daughter-in-law: David & Sandra Marchman of Lavonia; grandchildren: Nathan & Brandy Marchman of Lavonia and Eric & Ashley Marchman of Hartwell; Great-grandchildren: Holly, Ethan, & Daniel Marchman and Chloe Marchman; and brother: Garvin Andrews of Anderson.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Revs. Paul Jameson and Bruce Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Georgia Memorial Park, Marietta at 2:00 p.m.
The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional or memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
