Obituary
Mr. Gordon Lee Whaley, 75, of Grayson Ga, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Emory Eastlake Medical Center, Snellville GA.
Born on April 21, 1940 in Atlanta GA, he was the son of Gordon Lee Whaley and Martha Sue Eberhardt Whaley.Mr. Whaley was a former route supervisor for Sunbeam Bread Company and retired from Golden Flake Chip Company.He was a greeter at Sam's Club, a member of the First Baptist Church of Snellville and a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife: Barbara Herring Whaley; four children; several grandchildren; a brother: Steve Whaley of Oregon; two sisters: Helen Walker of Locus Grove GA and Mary Barlow of Covington GA.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Snellville with Rev. James Lee and Rev. Guy Priester officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Snellville, PO Box 647, Snellville GA 30078.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
